Vintage Fashion: Coachella Style 2 0 1 2

Every spring taken place in Indio, Ca the beautiful southern California desert 30 miles east of Palm Springs, is held one of the nation's largest music festival COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL. This year Coachella Fest will be held not only one weekend, but will be a TWO weekend festival event! It is a time for music lovers and artist's to come together and appreciate their favorite bands all under the Coachella Valley sky. The three day music festival is known best for putting together hundreds of bands together, their unique and creative art installations and we cant forget Coachella's fashion scene, also known for So-Cal's fashion weekend! The fashion scene taken place at Coachella is a Bohemian relaxed look- a similar style from 60s & 70s fashion. Below are some photos taken during Woodstock Festival of 1969. Vintage Spring Fashion 2012

We are approaching a new season! In another two weeks it will be our favorite time of year when its time to start bringing out the fun and flirty dresses for the new season! We all do this at home, we store away our winter clothes away from coats to boots and switch  with the new. Here, at Deja Vu Vintage Finery, we have been doing the same task and bringing out our spring looks to the store with wedges, sun dresses, big hats and accessories. We are looking forward to the many events this coming spring. The Dinah Shore 2012 week long party happening in March all in Palm Springs and Coachella 2012 taken place in April  located in Indio, Ca. We will be reporting back with our favorite trends influenced from vintage fashion, stay tuned!

Fashion Recap: Jetset Style Fashion Show Modernism Week

We recently had our 1st annual of the Midcentury Jetset Style Fashion Show held at The Ace Hotel. It was also the opening day of Modernism week this past February 16, 2012. Our Midecentury fashion show was a fabulous kick off start to the 11 day celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture and culture in Palm Springs, Ca. Our Midcentury fashion show was a success and we would like to thank everybody who contributed to this special event! Special thanks to: Matt Burkholz from Route 66 West, who provided all of the precious jewels and accessories! Located 465 North Palm Canyon Drive  Palm Springs, CA 92262. Thank you to our hair & make-up crew: Hair- Roberto Madera Salon and Cos Bar Make-up both located on El Paseo in Palm Desert. And finally thank you to all of our beautiful models and backstage dressers!
